Composing a Desert Vista

🌵 Explore the vastness of desert terrain with intention and clarity. In this 4+ hour landscape demo, Kimball Geisler leads you through the construction of a sweeping desert vista—showing how to move beyond literal reference into purpose-driven composition.

You’ll learn how to:
🎯 Treat your reference as a starting point—not a restriction — rearrange, simplify, and strengthen what you see for clearer impact.
📐 Build strong perspective and value structure that anchor the viewer’s journey across a broad scene.
🌞 Navigate desert light: subtle shifts in heat, shadow, and atmospheric depth create believable space and mood.
🧩 Design with purpose so every element supports your major forms and leads the eye with confidence.

Ideal for landscape artists ready to elevate their design thinking, refine their value control, and tackle expansive scenes with more clarity and confidence. Runtime: 4+ hours
