Conceptualizing Environments: From Paper to Pixel

🌍 Transform your environment concepts into polished realities. In this live-filmed workshop, Tayler Olivas guides you through developing an environment—from research and sketches → through 3D blocking → to a final presentation piece.

You’ll learn how to:

  • ✏️ Start in sketchbook mode: gather references, explore ideas, iterate quickly on paper and digital.

  • 🧱 Use 3D tools to test lighting, composition, and perspective—turning flat ideas into believable spaces.

  • 🎨 Translate your refined concept into a polished final piece: value, color, texture, and presentation—all work together.

  • 🚀 Think like a pro: shift from “just painting what you see” to “designing what you intend.”

Ideal for artists working in concept art, environment design, or anyone ready to elevate their workflow from idea to finish. Runtime: 2+ hours
