Jeremy Duncan
Some paintings just flow out of your fingertips and others are like wrestling a bear.
Jeremy Duncan has spent his life in Northern California surrounded by the varying landscapes that inspire him and his work. Since his early youth, Jeremy has had an eagerness to express nature honestly in his artwork. This desire to make good art stayed with him throughout his life until his choice to pursue art as a career led him to eastern Idaho where he studied at Brigham Young University Idaho and learned the importance of fundamental drawing skills, the importance of communication, and the exercise of art elements and design principles to clearly convey artistic representation. His exposure to the work of renowned artists like Carl Rungius, Edgar Payne, Nicholai Fechin, John Carlson, and John Singer Sargent led him to a practice of painting from life ("en plein air") for reference.
After graduation, having received an art degree, Jeremy re-located to his native Northern California. Today Jeremy lives and paints in Amador County and pursues a living as a fine artist. Jeremy's Website
